Obituary of Frederick Leich

Frederick Leich, age 88, of Howard Beach died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Jamaica Hospital of Jamaica, NY. Mr. Leich was born in 1923 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Julius and the late Pauline (Kohler) Leich. He married Frances I. Leich who died in 2008. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He was employed by Green Bus Lines, Jamaica NY as a Store Keeper. He is survived by one daughter: Patricia Leich and one son: Frederick Leich of Merrick, NY; Brother of one sister: Caroline Cruys; he also has three grandchildren. Daughter In Law, Kathy Leich; granddaughter, Amanda Leich; Grandson, Alexander Leich; Grandson, Andrew Leich. The funeral was held at Saint Barnabas Church, 159-19 98th Street, Howard Beach, NY with Rev. William Eric Baum officiating. An Organization\Fellowship service was held February 15, 2012 at the funeral home by the Boy Scouts Troop 351 . Burial was in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton on Thursday, February 23.
