OBITUARY DOROTHY McLAUGHLIN Dorothy Elsie McLaughlin passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2025. She was born on April 18, 1925 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was the daughter of Elsie and Hugo Victor Albers, and the older sister of Lillian Havener, who predeceased her. She is the loving mother of Dennis (deceased 1954), James (Joan) of New Canaan, Connecticut, and Nancy McLaughlin of Vienna, Virginia and the devoted grandmother of Laura, Michael, and Andrew. She was a resident of Merrick, N.Y. for 63 years. Her wake will be held at the N.F. Walker Funeral Home, 2039 Merrick Avenue, N.Y. on Monday, January 13, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at the same location on Tuesday, January 14, at 11:00 am. Internment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, N.Y.
