William J. Torrens, on May 16, 2018 at age 93
Beloved husband of the late Marjory. Devoted father of Catherine Pfau (Ray), James Torrens ( Carol Beckman), Helen Torrens ( Jeffrey Haberer) and Jeanette Alindogan ( Gabriel). Loving grandfather of Joseph and Stephen Bernotas, Katherine and Patrick Torrens, Andrei Haberer, Lauren, Daniel and Nicole Alindogan. Great Grandfather of Tyler, Mason, Madison-Lynn, Jacob, Samuel, Oliver, Jaleen, Kayla, Kendall and Brayden.
Graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology, World War ll Navy Veteran 1943-1946, longtime employee of the Long Island Lighting Company, Active Member of Cure of Ars RC Church. Visiting Sunday 2-4PM and 7-9PM at the N.F. Walker Funeral Home 2039 Merrick Avenue Merrick.
Funeral Mass Monday at 11AM at Cure of Ars R.C. Church,2323 MerricKAvenue, Merrick. Private cremation to follow the mass with interment at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury NY.
